I found this in the Feb ’08 eBook update file:

In fact, the Imperial Acts Application Act section 8, clause 12 (page 43) states “That all grants and promises of fines and forfeitures of particular persons BEFORE conviction, are illegal and void.” This Act is enshrined in the State Constitution of every state in Australia.

I believe that they are referring to the Victorian Act specifically, which is no surprise as Victoria is the Nanny State and the last 2 years have proven that beyond all reasonable doubt.

However I am looking at the NSW Constitution and it is coming up blank regarding the above.
I still don’t yet know how they are making this legal dependency/link.

Any idea?
