CDs are not dead yet. CD drives cost all of about $25-30 for a USB external CD drive, and for this it is worth having one around…you never know when you are going to need it.
The Steps (AFAIK) are:
Step 1: Send the Notice of Objection

Step 2: Send the Notice of Default
— wait 28(?) days —
Step 3: Send the Private Settlement Agreement
You may also need to send a Clarification Letter between those steps.
