Just got email reply:
22 May 2018 Dear Mr AlexR,
We write in response to your request for review of Penalty 3166366491 for ‘Stop in bus zone (in school zone)’ on 15 May 2018.
Outcome of our review:
We considered the circumstances you presented. We also consulted the Caution/Review Guidelines, legislation and information provided by the issuing authority. Our investigations conclude the penalty still applies.
Only public buses are permitted to stop in bus zones. It is important to keep bus zones clear for buses to safely pick up and drop off passengers. If these areas are not kept clear, buses may be forced to stop in other areas which may cause traffic hazards and compromise the safety of passengers and road users. The issuing officer indicates vehicle CA38DX was parked in a clearly signposted bus zone at the time of the offence. It is the drivers responsibility to check all relevant signage and to ensure they park according to signposted restrictions and the road rules that apply to the roads they are using.
Leniency is inappropriate for a school zone offence as it is considered serious due to the safety risk to children, pedestrians, and other road users.
What you need to do now:
Please pay $330.00 at http://www.revenue.nsw.gov.au/pay or by phone on 1300 130 112.
We will send you a penalty reminder notice showing other ways to pay. You must act by the due date on the reminder notice. If you do not, a $65.00 fee will be added to the money you already owe. If it remains unpaid further fees will be added and we will commence debt recovery action. As the penalty has been reviewed, if you wish to dispute the fine further you would need to request it be decided in court.
You can manage your penalty online at http://www.revenue.nsw.gov.au/myPenalty, on your mobile by using the Service NSW app, or by phone on the number below between 7:30 am and 8:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
