Hi Shellys, thanks for your thoughts… Yer I will try that (I’ll ask where does it say in the law that I’m not entitled to a view.
Its a bit tricky, I was told when I brought the place they could not build in front of me as the height restrictions are already set, and the can’t go above them.
However, that was 10 years ago. I did ask twice to double-check when I brought the place, but it was only over the phone, so I have no proof of who I talked to way back then, or even that I did.
I did send them a letter about 6 months ago, saying if I lost my view the council would then be liable to pay me the sum of what I bought the house for in compensation.
I have no idea what I’m doing, or if that’s even a thing with the law behind it, but they sure didn’t like the letter and said they will dispute that strongly. lol
